Q; How long does the application process take?

A:Depending on the service selected it can take anywhere from 24 to72 hours to install

Q: What is a Polymer Cement (Jewelstone)?

A: A polymer is basically a cement that has been modified with polymers. A polymer produst actually has a higher threshold of durability and strength.

Q: How long will I have to stay off the surface?

Depending on the product you will need to stay off for 24 to 48 hours

Q: What kinds of colours and designs are available?

A: Virtually unlimited. There are over 20 jewelstone colours to choose from and can be tinted to varying degrees. All designs are done by hand.

Is the floor slippery?

A: A flake system floor gives a texture feel to it and is normally no more slippery than regular concrete when wet. If you have a concern about slippage, we can add a slip resistant additive to the topcoats which will make the floor more skid resistant.

Q: Is there an odor?

There is a slight order during the application process but that odor will be gone by the time you are able to go back on the floor.

Q: What is the warranty?

A: All applications carry a one year manufacturer supported warranty against lifting or delamination. (Cracks and other repairs which give way due to the shifting of the substrate below are not warranted)

Q: Why choose Glenic?

With over 20 years experience working with epoxy floor coatings we have the expertise to answer any and all of your questions.

Q: Why might I choose a flake color over a solid color (Epoxy)?

A: A major advantage of the flake system is that it does a good job hiding minor imperfections in the concrete. Since each flake color pattern incorporates many colors; you can select one that will go best with your décor and/or siding and window colors.

Q: Aren't all coatings the same?

Although a lot of other coatings may claim to give the floor the protection and durability it needs that is not always the case. We use top of the line industrial strength epoxy that gives you the durability you need for a long lasting coating. We always use a 2 part 100% epoxy.
